The name Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē is derived from the Goblin language, as Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē was founded by Elen Jane Adele, who was culturaly Goblin.

Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē was founded durring the early 12th century in winter of the year 1117, by Elen Jane Adele. The establishment of Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Elen Jane Adele electing to pay people to resettle in Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē.

Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē is was constructed arround several premissive paverstone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The city rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The city's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the citys defences.

A look around Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē is like looking into a university’s plaza on the day before an exam. People rush about to-and-fro. Discarded scrolls and quills are dotted around city. In spite of many locals discussing academic topics, there’s little sign of any organized groups for any of that talk. Infact, the city seems disordered in general with everything scattered helter skelter about.

Cultural Notes

A substantial minority of the locals are descended from foreigners alien to their local neighbors. They may have been religious exiles, economic migrants, indigenous locals surrounded by the existing polity, or a foreign settlement conquered within the relatively recent past. The locals may not be enthusiastic about being ruled by others not of their kind, and their neighbors may look askance at the way foreign customs or even laws may be maintained.

It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century Ill Tides Mountain, an iconic vista located neare Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē, proved to be volcanic when the mountain erupted. The eruption was isolated to the area around Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē, which was swallowed in ash, lava flows, and pyroclastic gasses. Loi̋rō̌ Gûy Gaw̋lē lost 249 people, 114 livestock, and 74 buildings in the disaster. The event is forever remembered as the Day of Ill Tides's Wrath.
